Connect to all your data sources

Unifi offers the widest range of native data source connectors. From Netsuite to social media data, Unifi provides a heterogeneous connector library. Adding a data source is a breeze – just point to the data source and add access credentials. With Unifi user management, you decide who’s allowed to add data sources to the platform. You can even select an external process or pre-cleaned data set with Unifi.

User management
Authorize users and revoke access – remember, you’re in control. Unifi supports LDAP and ADT to facilitate access. Set up groups, for example: Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Data Science, and then select users into each group and which data sets each group can access.

Data authorization
Financial data, healthcare data, PII data – with Unifi you can even select which data set attributes each user can see. This way YOU control privacy and policies, just the way it should be.

Resource management
Another critical part of access is the management of the Hadoop environment. Clients tell us that competitors’ tools use unintuitive interface metaphors to make selections that overload the environment and render it useless to other users. Unifi augments the Yarn resource management tools to allow you to manage the resources and ensure the environment elegantly manages the transform loads. You can even set job priority – Finance calling? Simply drag and drop their job to the top of the list.

Workflow and schedules
When jobs are dependent on other jobs, Unifi lets you set up a workflow schedule to string jobs together. You determine the order and the logic: Job A runs and on success Job B runs, but Job C runs if Job A fails, then you run Job D – you get the idea. And if you run the same jobs weekly, set up a schedule with Unifi. You can even run these schedules remotely by integrating your own scheduling software with our comprehensive API.

Know your lineage
Tracking the results of a job right back to the source data is essential when results are not what you expect, or things go wrong. Unifi’s data lineage and digital sleuthing tools help you uncover those pesky errors quickly and simply. Only Unifi delivers this level of data integration debugging.

Hive or Spark – bring it
Unifi dynamically selects the right Hadoop OS resource based on the type of transform and data sources selected. Need in-memory transform? No problem, Unifi will select what’s appropriate and optimize the transform. Even Spark streaming data is supported by Unifi as part of a transform or scheduled workflow.
