Veteran sales executive, Chris Flynn, has joined Unifi as VP of Sales. In this role Chris is responsible for the company’s worldwide sales efforts.
Chris has a proven track record in enterprise software sales to the Fortune 500. Over the last seven years he has built a strong reputation selling Big Data technologies into Fortune 500 companies for Silicon Valley startups ParAccel, Greenplum (acquired by EMC) and Zoomdata. Prior to that, Chris was an early member of the Opsware sales team—culminating in a $1.6B acquisition by HP—and a top producer at CA Technologies, Peregrine, Vignette and IBM. He brings extensive relationships within both the Wall Street and Silicon Valley communities to Unifi. These relationships, paired with his deep knowledge of the industry, were key factors in the hiring process and provide the foundation to take Unifi to the leadership position in the self-service data integration (SSDI) space.
In his own words:
“Unifi is in a unique position to be the only one-stop shop for SSDI. Looking at the marketplace, I see many well-funded startups, each providing a single best-of-breed product. However, over time, they’ll prove to be one-trick ponies and that you would need to purchase at least two or three different products from different vendors to match Unifi’s ‘built-from-the-ground-up’ capabilities. Why would you buy two products that aren’t integrated, with two different support contracts, etc., to address ONE data pipeline?
As the space evolves and RFP’s become more prevalent, Unifi will prove to be the most comprehensive SSDI solution in the space, both in terms of functionality and in delivering value to the business that IT can get behind. Early adopter customers like Havas, Sabre, Essentra and AT Kearney, backed by the support from the industry analysts, made Unifi the obvious choice for the next stop in my career.”
